Get Your Rent or Mortgage Paid
About two years ago I was laid off from my accounting job, and I was unable to pay my rent. I did not know where to look for help. An eviction notice had already been posted on my door. I called a few of the local agencies and churches for help, but most of them had given out all their money for the year.
A friend of mine suggested that I look on the Internet to see if I could get a government grant or some type of government assistance that would help me for the next six months. They helped me to stop the eviction.
I was able to restructure my rent payments, and, thanks to this program, I was given more time to pay. During the first month I tried to obtain a grant to help me get through the next six months. It took awhile before I was able to receive the funds, but I did to have a little bit of money in reserve.
Within six months, I was able to find another accounting job. Since I had received a grant, I was not obligated to pay the money back. That was the best part of the whole program. So, I would recommend this program to anyone who is having problems paying their rent or mortgage.
